The Victory of Gideon and his army.

Prelude- Judges 6:11-12, 14-18, 24, 33-35 MSG Obedience in the face of Challenges was also exemplified by ⁃ The 3 Hebrew children men ⁃ Daniel and King Darius-not worshipping the Kings Worship Image ⁃ Noah in building the Arc ⁃ Moses in demanding the release of the Israelites ⁃ Elijah in challenging the prophets of Baal of King Ahab and Jezebel.
God showed up for all of these people and indeed advanced them!
Let’s focus on the story in our text of Gideon and his army. -Story of Gideon, his call by God and the choice of his armies. Judges 7: God’s demand is that we put Him first- This shows commitment and leaves room for God to give to or do for us greater than our expectations. ⁃ The servant of Abraham, representing his master spiritual leadership in God’s program, asked that Rebecca give him water ⁃ Elijah asked the widow of Zarephath to give him drink and food FIRST. ⁃ Jesus asked the woman at the well to give a drink first before drawing for herself ⁃ David, the great king who best knew God’s heart taught his son Solomon in Proverbs 4 always to place God first. He said forget Not his Teachings!! ***Placing God’s Will and agenda first in all matters always secures True Success. One with God is indeed MAJORITY. This shows the opposing camp is collectively LESS THAN ONE.
