Introduction

As your Personality can influence your Leadership, it’s good to know that your Spirituality can shape your Personality. Personality- Definition -The combination of characteristics or qualities that form an individual’s distinctive character. -Since we are relating Personality with Spirituality, let’s establish that the scripture show that God has Personality. God has Personality- -God is Love and Peace (1jn 4:7-21 and 2Thes 3:16) -God is Giving and Joyful (Jn 3:16, Mat 3:17) God is Faithful and Truthful (Josh 21:45 no promises failed, Is 65:16, JN 7:28) -God is Merciful and Kind (2Chronicles 30:9) -God is Righteous and Just (Ps 119:137) -God is Relational and forgiving ( Gen 3:8-Adam, Gen 5:4 -Enoch, Gen 17:1-Abraham,2Cor6:16,7:1-God says He will walk with us and dwell amongst us.) I am a Jealous God – Ex 20:5 (as a husband is jealous over his wife) God will not tolerate our worship of any other God. -God is Holy 1Peter1:15-16 God feels hurt (Gen 6:6- God regretted that He had made man. He was GRIEVED in His HEART !) **

So we see that God is not made of steel without emotions.

We can actually relate with Him. God rejects these characteristics- Proverbs 6:16-19 MSG “Here are six things God hates, and one more that he loathes with a passion: eyes that are arrogant, a tongue that lies, hands that murder the innocent, a heart that hatches evil plots, feet that race down a wicked track, a mouth that lies under oath, a troublemaker in the family.”
