Are You A Believer or A Disciple? Are These Two One And The Same? Text- Matthew‬ ‭4‬:‭19‬ ‭GNT‬‬ “Jesus said to them, “Come with me, and I will teach you to catch people.”” Definitions- A Believer- A believer is one who has received the truth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God into their hearts and repented of their sins, resulting in a new creation (John 1:12; 2 Corinthians 5:17) A Disciple – is a Follower or an Adherent of a Teacher. In the Christian Circle- The Disciple – -is someone who is following Jesus, being changed or Transformed by Jesus, and is committed to the mission of Jesus (Matt. 4:19). The mission of Jesus is disciple-making, which means entering into relationships to help people trust and follow Jesus (Matt. 28:18–20). This includes the whole process from conversion through maturation and multiplication.
